Over the next 18 months, the Explore Niobrara Committee will be offering you ample opportunities to explore our rich Niobrara County history as we join with our nation in celebrating 250 years of America.

The Explore Niobrara, Celebrating America’s 250th committee will host, along with Van Tassell residents, A Day in the Life at Van Tassell, Wyoming on Sunday, June 14. Learn about railroad, homesteading, ranching and other history pertaining to Van Tassell area. Plan to attend!

1:30 pm Flag retirement ceremony

2:00 pm History presentations

Please bring a lawn chair; events will be both inside and outside

Please bring drinking water and sunscreen

No smoking outside of vehicle
